I started my martial arts training in Aikido followed by receiving a brown belt in Judo. I have studied Northern and Southern styles of Kung Fu, mainly Choi Le Fut, and the animal syles with Master Wong Ark Yuey in Los Angeles, Chinatown. I studied Northern Choi Le Fut in the Taoist Temple in Cebu City, Phillipines. I was the only non Chinese allowed to train at the temple in 1974 with Master Ti Gi Pin. I also studied Escrima in Cebu City, Phillipines with two of the Canete brothers. I started JKD training in 1975. I formally studied fencing, and Brazilian Jiujitsu. I have had the pleasure of studing with Sifu Tackett who introduced me to some of Bruce Lee's students. I was fortunate to train with Bob Bremer, Jim Sewell, Dan Inosanto, Tony Luna, Ted Wong, and Daniel Lee.
