D.M. BLUE

Started his formal martial arts training in 1973. Four years later, he and a friend discovered that Tim Tackett lived in Redlands. He has been with the group for over thirty years. He left for a few of those years to serve as a trooper and an advisor; after the service he continued his study of engineering. Having missed the action, he would return to duty for brief stints, and then go into law enforcement and executive protection.

PATRICK CUNNINGHAM

Patrick Cunningham has been practicing martial arts since 1983. In 1995 he met Vince Raimondi and started training in Jeet Kune Do. In 2000 he met Tim Tackett and the Wednesday Night Group for the very first time at The B.L.F. He has been training with the Wednesday Night Group ever since. Currently a fourth degree black belt in taekwondo, Mr. Cunningham runs a Martial Arts School in Bayonne New Jersey with the ATA.

HANS DE BURCHGRAEVE

Hans started martial arts in 1973 when he was 12 years old in Jiu-Jitsu at the local gym under a fourth degree black belt. His training was interrupted when he went in to the military and became a paratrooper in the Belgian army in 1979. A few years later he restarted and trained in Jiu-Jitsu for his first degree black belt. While in the army he started English boxing and Kickboxing and some years later met Tim Tackett and Bob Bremer at a BLEF function.

SHAWN KING

Shawn King began his serious martial arts training after watching several MMA events and graduating from college. He enrolled at a nearby MMA fighter’s school and began training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Fortunately, Jeet Kune Do classes were also offered at this school. While attending there, the school hosted a Wed Nite Group seminar. After moving to San Diego to attend law school he contacted the Wed Nite Group and began training in Redlands.

BRENT LANCE

Took his first martial arts lessons in 1984, at the age of 9. Began fighting in the ring in a toughman type contest that Vic Payne put on, in 1990. In 1990 and 1991, he finished 1st or 2nd place in almost every event he competed in. He also did some amateur boxing and kickboxing, and even a little professional boxing. He has been fortunate to train with many top instructors such as Dan Inosanto, Chai Sirisute, Joe Lewis, and others. He continues to learn from Tim Tackett, Bob Bremer, and all of his students and peers that are part of the WNG.

JEREMY LYNCH

Began training in the martial arts at the age of 7. He joined the Wednesday Night Group in 1990 and began attending classes taught by Dennis Blue, 5 days a week. He was fortunate enough to have worked with both Bert Poe and Sonny Bygum prior to their passing. Jeremy has also trained with several original students of Bruce Lee, and competed as an amateur kickboxer in his early twenties. He has appeared in many recent Jeet Kune Do books and videos.

JIM MCCANN

Started martial arts in the 1970's at the local YMCA. He continued studying traditional arts until joining a boxing gym in his early twenties. Tested his skills competitively in a variety of competitions and venues for more then a decade having fought well over 100 sanctioned and unsanctioned fights. He is formerly a #1 ranked Kickboxer, Grapplers Quest Gold Medalist, U.S. Grappling Championships Gold Medalist, and founder of Xtreme Freestyle Martial Arts.

VINCE RAIMONDI

He was a professional soccer player, active in martial arts before coming to the United States in 1977. He opened his first martial arts school in Roselle Park, NJ in 1985. Soon after, he began participating in many tournaments and consistently finished in the top ten. His interest in learning other martial arts led him to study Jeet Kune Do and train under Ted Wong, beginning in 1990. In 2005 Mr. Raimondi received his certification as an instructor of JKD.

KWOKLYN WAN

Born June 16th 1973 (Star sign Gemini) (Year of the Ox) to a Hong Kong Chinese Father (Tung Shing Wan) and English Mother (Myra Joan Wan) in Leicester United Kingdom. Started his martial arts career at the age of 4 in Britain’s oldest martial arts Dojo. In 2009 hosted MAF-UK (The Martial Arts Festival UK) which was attended by 10,000 people. In December 2009 became the official JKD writer for Combat magazine. His school, Urban Martial Arts is based in Leicester, UK.
